Chilenean Coastline with sea and forest

The GIST Hub is an interdisciplinary platform for establishing a long-term partnership between Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC) in the field of sustainability transformations. It was launched in 2025 and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The GIST Hub brings together people from research and practice to jointly develop a governance methodology. The findings will be incorporated into the part-time continuing education program "Inclusive Governance and Innovation in Sustainability Transitions", which provides decision-makers from politics, business, and civil society with the skills to actively shape sustainable development.
